FIRING SAND - 2 LBS.

Fine sand for porcelain high firing.  Normally used as a fine dusting of sand on the kiln shelf, so that porcelain pieces can shrink without warping during the high-fire. Re-usable, no pre-firing necessary. Firing Sand is composed of smooth, round grains which act like tiny ball-bearings that allow the porcelain to move freely while shrinking with no pitting or scratching.  Warning: Dust can be hazardous so wear a protective mask when using. Each jar contains 2 pounds (0.9 kg) of firing sand.
